Spirea Aphid

The spirea or green citrus aphid, Aphis spiraecola Patch. Adults are 1/16 to 1/8 inch long, dark green with a black cauda. This aphid is abundant during the spring and summer months.

Common host plants: citrus, apple, loquat, pittosporum, pyracantha, spiraea, viburnum, and pear.
