Green Peach Aphid

The green peach aphid, Myzus persicae (Sulzer). This is the most common aphid in the United States as well as Florida. Nymphs vary in color and may be pale green, yellowish or pinkish green. Winged adults are darker green than the wingless forms and have a black head and thorax. This aphid is the most difficult species to control primarily due to its vary high reproductive potential. Unlike many other aphids, these may be present throughout the year and are often present on older leaves.

Common host plants: feeds on many plants, some of the most common hosts are camillia, gardenia, photinia, and viburnum.
