Cotton Aphid

The cotton or melon aphid, Aphis gossypii Glover. Wingless adults are 1/16 to 1/8 inch long, yellow to dark green with a dusky colored cauda. Winged adults are also yellow to dark green but have a black head and thorax. They feed on a wide range of plants and are primarily a spring and summer pest.

Common host plants: citrus, gardenia, hibiscus.
