The silverleaf whitefly, Bemisia argentifolii Bellows and Perring, is approximately 1/16 inch in length. Although the adults can not be positively identified in the field, they hold their wings down toward the leaf at greater than a 45 degree angle when at rest.
Common host plants: Over 700 host plants have been reported, but some of the most common are poinsettia, and gerbera daisy.
