Lady Beetle Larva

Lady beetle larvae look very different from the adults. They usually are elongated, somewhat flattened, and covered with spines. Many are dark or black with bright colored spots or bands, while others are cream colored or covered with a white secretion making them resemble mealybugs. Lady beetle larvae may consume 200 to 500 aphids before becoming adults.
