Brown Lacewing Larva Attacking Aphids

The brown lacewing larvae differ from green lacewing larvae in that they do not possess tubercles. Both adults and larvae prey on aphids, other soft-bodied insects and mites. Some species of brown lacewing larvae cover themselves with the skins of their victims and other debris, thus the name trash bugs.
