Fall Armyworm
The fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda (J.E. Smith). The fall armyworm is
more common on golf courses and other bermudagrass areas than on home lawns. Mature larvae are
l 1/2 inches in length, and greenish with dark stripes. Fall armyworms feed during the
day and occur earlier in the year. The life cycle is similar to webworms.
