Cerambycid beetles are 1/2 to 3 inches in length, elongate, cylindrical with long antennae. Color varies greatly. Virtually all are wood borers in the larval stage. The larvae are whitish, elongate, cylindrical and legless. There are over 1,400 species in the United States.
